Gallery Ottonovecento

The Work:
Created during a residency in the lakeside town of Laveno Mombello for Gallery Ottonovecento, this new body of twenty-one paintings marks a significant evolution in Adam Thompson’s abstract practice. Works such as Singularity and Duality explore themes of deeper meaning, balance, memory, and transcendence through richly layered compositions that merge bold graphical forms with a refined sensitivity to color and atmosphere. Influenced by the elegance of Art Deco design and the natural beauty of Lake Maggiore, the series draws from the region’s shifting light, terracotta facades, Mediterranean vegetation, and misted mountain horizons. The result is a collection that feels both contemporary and timeless — combining architectural precision with emotional resonance in a uniquely original visual language.
